What is STRIKE UP?
STRIKE UP Baseball Mentoring is a company that provides private baseball/softball instruction to players who are serious about developing their game. This includes the "physical" aspects of the game, but will also include mental, visual, off-season & academic training to complete their entire game/life.
The goal of STRIKE UP is to develop Success by creating the Ultimate Player. Our definition of Success is, "through hard work and determination, each individual will progress in becoming THE BEST they are CAPABLE in BECOMING!" This doesn't guarantee you'll become a major leaguer and/or play in college, but it guarantees that through YOUR hard work and doing YOUR best, YOU WILL become a SUCCESS!
STRIKE UP is simply an acronym meaning: Success Tenacity Responsibility Integrity Knowledge Effort = Ultimate Player. This is what our players will be exposed to in developing their skills. We hope this fits what you're looking for in a mentor.

Bob Anderson
Bob Anderson has coached baseball players for over 40 years. His coaching includes players at the youth level, high school, collegiately, internationally for the United States, and scouting professionally for the Cleveland Indians. He has hundreds of players who have earned the opportunity to play at every level of the game. Bob has won countless awards, honors, and championships over those 40 plus years. Youth Level
At the youth level, Coach Anderson has worked with many little leaguers/15U in developing hitting, base running, throwing, defense, catching, and pitching. He breaks down the instruction to fit the age of the student-athlete. Learning & FUN is a must!
High School - So. Cal
As for high school, he spent many seasons of his career at this level. He began his career at Mira Costa H.S> as an assistant before moving on as the Head Coach at Bishop Montgomery H.S. in southern California. BMHS was in the powerhouse Angelus League with Mater Dei, Servite, Bishop Amat, and St. Paul. He led the Knights to their first ever D1 playoffs in 1988.
International
In 1989 and again in 1993, Anderson was blessed to have the opportunity to coach 2 Team USA Teams with high school and junior college players internationally. Bothe teams won the international championships during their stay in the Netherlands, Germany, and Austria, while also playing Italy, Czechoslovakia, Russia, and Belgium.
College/MLB
In 1990, Bob moved to the college ranks at Los Angeles Harbor College. L.A. Harbor was annually a top 10 team in the State of California JuCo ranks.
After 9 seasons of college and professional scouting, In 1999, Bob returned to high school coaching the Torrance Tartars. In his first season, his team won the Bay League Championship and made it to the Semi Finals in the 36 team Southern Section CIF bracket. The team finished 24-6 and he was named Southern California South Bay Coach of the Year.
High School - Nor. Cal
Anderson's mother/family originated living in Dunsmuir, California. Thus, Bob and his family relocated to Shasta County in 2001 and took over the Central Valley High School Baseball Program. The Falcons instantly became a winner. Running the program for 12 years; they won 8 Northern League Titles, 6 CIF Finals Appearances, and 3 CIF Northern Section Titles. Anderson won 3 Northern California Coach of the Year honors and was named the 2009 ESPN Rise/Cal Hi Coach of the Year for the State of California.
